JTC-SKF demands probe into temple attack at Devsar

JAMMU, Jan 16: Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC) and Soan Kashmir Front (SKF) J&K activists under the chairmanship of their president, Shadi Lal Pandita, continued their demonstration on 471st consecutive day today at by holding a protest sit-in at Jagti Township
Shadi Lal Pandita, who is also Convener of J&K Pradesh Congress Committee Migrant Cell, while addressing the protesters said that attack on Mata Tripur Sundari temple in Devsar, Kulgam has hurt the feelings of Kashmiri Pandits.
Pandita appealed to Deputy Commissioner Kulgam, SSP Kulgam and concerned SHO to investigate and punish the culprits as soon as possible. Pandita said that some miscreants did it on purpose to deteriorate the situation in Kashmir and to frighten the Kashmiri Pandits to stop them from coming to Kashmir valley.
He said that it is the responsibility of the government to protect all the religious places and solve the problems of Kashmiri Pandits and resettle KPs in Kashmir.
Pandita said we have been protesting for 471 days today but the government is not conceding to our demands.
He reiterated the demand of increase in monthly cash relief of relief holders from Rs 13,000 to Rs 25,000 per family per month, package of 20,000 jobs to be announced for migrant unemployed educated youths. Permanent Rehabilitation of KPs in Kashmir in three satellite townships besides raising other pending demands.
The members who participated in the protest included Raj Kumar Bhat, Rakesh Ambardar, Rakesh Tickoo, Charanjeet Singh, Vijay Bakshi, Satish Pandita, Gurmeet Singh, Vinod Bhat and others.
