Sunday Market deserted amid lockdown in Srinagar | | | Early Times Report
Srinagar, Jan 16: The Sunday Market in Srinagar wore a deserted look due to the weekend lockdown imposed to curb the rise in Covid-19 cases in Jammu and Kashmir. The lockdown was imposed on Saturday and Security forces were deployed for strict vigilance. The roads look desolated as people stayed at home while only medical shops and shops selling essential items were allowed to open. However, many people were seen visiting the Covid testing lab facility centre set up by the Director Health Services Kashmir at TRC complex. Meanwhile, members of the Cricket Fraternity Dalgate distributed free face masks among the people and urged them to follow Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) properly to avoid spread of Covid-19 infections at Badyari Chowk Dalgate. |
