JAMMU, Jan 28: The Department of Civil Engineering, Yogananda College of Engineering & Technology (YCET) organized a Workshop on “Entrepreneurship Skills, Attitude and Behaviour Development” today in connection with IIC Activity for Civil Engineering and Mechanical Engineering students. The session began with welcome address by Er Rajnish Magotra, HOD (Civil Engineering.) and Er Dinesh Gupta, Dean (Academics) & President IIC, YCET briefed about IIC Cell. The resource person, Sathya, Assistant Professor (Sr G) and Innovation Ambassador at SRM Institute of Science & Technology, Chennai, Tamil Nadu. She enlightened the students and faculty aboutobjectives of such Workshops and disclosed that India is moving on the path of progress and becoming self-reliant. She told that in the present scenario, there are many steps initiated by Government of India to promote the concept of Entrepreneurship, Startups, Incubation, etc. Nowadays knowing how to communicate is one of the most important skills. It is necessary to be able to speak appropriately with a great variety of people, but also to listen to our interlocutors effectively. She explained in detail about marketing skills, social networks and required dimensions of entrepreneur behavior like Identification of opportunities, Vision and Influence, Comfort with Uncertainty, Efficient Decision Making, Building Networks, Collaborations, Management of Operations. The lecture increased the length and breadth of knowledge. She said that there are three attributes to become a successful entrepreneur, Adaptability, persistence and hardwork. The students really got enriched and benefitted by this interactive session. The whole programme was coordinated by Er Sandeep Thakur and vote of thanks was given by Er Yasar Mumtaz Banday. |
