J&K admin fails to accomplish target under PMGSY | Out of 4841 kilometers road length only 1526 kilometers constructed till date | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Jan 28: The Jammu & Kashmir administration has failed to achieve target of the construction of roads under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojna (PMGSY) for the financial years 2021-2022 with less than 33 percent roads being constructed so far. Early Times has learnt from sources that out of 4,841 kilometers set to be completed under PMGSY during the current financial year in Jammu & Kashmir only 1,526 kilometers have been constructed so far. This means that only one third of the target with respect to the construction of roads has been completed to this date. The sources said that the Jammu & Kashmir administration has conveyed to the implementing agency at the national level that it would be able to construct two thirds of the set target of construction of roads. They said that the UT admin has said that it would be able to construct 3,300 kilometers of road length up to March 31, 2022. |
