JAMMU, Jan 28: Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), Councillor Parmodh Kapahi along with District President Munish Khajuria, Mandal Pardhan Keshav Chopra, on Friday kick started reconstruction of lanes and deep draining at Sector 3 Bhagwati Nagar in Ward 14 at the cost of Rs 6 lakh.
Speaking on the occasion, Councillor Parmodh Kapahi appealed the general public to come forward and cooperate with Jammu Municipal Corporation in various development works undertaken by it within Jammu city.
He urged upon the residents to avoid using single use plastics, polythenes in their routine work and asked them not to throw debris, garbage or filth in the drains, lanes and nallahs.
Kapahi also appealed the people to adopt the habit of segregation of dry and wet garbage at their own level so that Jammu can be made neat, clean, green and beautiful city.
Local residents including Satish Nargotra, Raj Nath Bhat, Rakesh Sharma, Adv Supriya, Darshan Lal, Kumar Kant, Rakesh Nargotra, Sagar, Kanta, Anita, Arun Mehra and other ward members were present on the occasion. |
