Army motivates youth to don olive | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Feb 26: The Indian Army is organising workshops, seminars and lectures to motivate the youth across the Jammu and Kashmir to don olive by joining the Armed Forces. As a part of this exercise, the Indian Army motivated the young boys and girls to take up this noble profession and conducted a lecture at Songri on the topic, "Join the Indian Armed Forces" in the bordering Rajouri district. Defence spokesman here on Saturday said the students attending the lecture were informed about various entries available to males and females to join as Officers and Other Ranks. "They were also explained about the academic and physical requirements for appearing in the entrance examinations and recruitment rallies," he added. The Army Official said career in the Indian Armed Forces is counted amongst the most prestigious options available to the youth in the country. "Life in the Indian Armed Forces provides them with an opportunity to serve the motherland, while simultaneously ensuring personal and professional development," he explained. He further said teachers and other members of the society attended the lecture, expressed gratitude to the Indian Army for a positive engagement with the young minds and inspiring them to become ideal members of the society. |
