| Casual Labours United Forum demand regularization, minimum wages | | |

SRINAGAR, Feb 26: The Jammu & Kashmir Casual Labours United Forum today carried out a protest demonstration in support of their demands and said that the administration should come out with a comprehensive regularization policy for them.
Talking to media persons the Forum office bearers said that besides framing a regularization policy the Jammu & Kashmir administration should also implement the Minimum Wages Act so that the daily wagers, casual workers and others live a dignified as well as decent life. They said that they support the policies and programmes of their leaders based in Jammu.
The Forum office bearers said that they are working on temporary basis for the past 20-25 years and the government has failed to regularize them during this period of time.
They demanded that some provision is kept for them in the upcoming budget of Jammu & Kashmir so that they heave a sigh of relief. |
