UP resident gets Govt job, J&K natives left in lurch | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Mar 3: Selection notification of project coordinators issued by Drug Controller Jammu has triggered a row as a resident of Uttar Pradesh has figured in the list. The selected candidate according to the notification figures at serial no. 4 and his permanent address reveals that he is a resident of Bairely Uttar Pradesh. “It’s strange that the J & K Government has no jobs to offer to the natives but is selecting the candidates from other places. Everyday you see youth staging protests on roads demanding jobs. The job notifications issued prior to October 31, 2019, were withdrawn, BSF, CISF aspirants, dental surgeons and border battalion aspirants hit the streets daily. But no one is listening to them,” said an observer. He said, “We are not against the outsiders getting a job in J&K but the government should fix a quota for the locals like other states have done.” It’s in place to mention here that Harayan has fixed the quota for the natives even in the private sector but in J&K anyone can be preferred over locals. “Promises of providing five lakh jobs to natives have remained confined to papers only,” the observer added. |
