Newly appointed Panchayat Account Assistants expose Govt’s fake claim
3/3/2022 11:37:31 PM

Early Times Report

Jammu, Mar 3: The newly appointed Account Assistants in Panchayats have exposed all fake claims of the Jammu and Kashmir Government to conduct recruitment process on fast-track mode.
On Thursday, the J&K Government claimed that the biggest ever fast recruitment campaign was launched in which nearly 10000 candidates were appointed.
“The recent appointment of nearly 10,000 candidates in the first phase of the biggest ever recruitment campaign including around 8000 Class-IV posts by JKSSB is a prime example signifying the above reforms being carried out by the UT government”, the government claimed.
Although appointments have been made, newly recruited youth are yet to get their salaries although they have joined their duties.
The glaring example of the J&K Government’s casual approach towards problems of unemployed youth is newly recruited Panchayat Account Assistants.
Despite being recruited and appointed two years ago, Panchayat Account Assistants have yet to get their first salaries.
These Account Assistants have approached the higher-ups to get their salaries released but to no avail. “We the 1889 Accounts Assistant (Panchayat) have been recruited through JKSSB in the first-ever recruitment after August 5, 2019. All of us have joined our department in October 2020, but till now we have not been paid our salaries which makes it very difficult for us to survive because most of the newly recruited youth have been serving in far off places”, Account Assistants explained in their representation given to higher-ups.
