Poonch: One teacher, 40 students | | | Rajesh Tandon Early Times Report
Poonch, Mar 10: Lieutenant Governor of Jammu Kashmir is continuously taking notice against unauthorized absent of teachers in different government educational institutions. People from border district Poonch have also raised their voice against this absence of staff from government schools. According to the sources, a female teacher posted in Primary School Aronwala in Haribudha village of Education zone Surankote has never joined the school since joining the department in 2011. Naib Sarpanch Haribudha upper, Riaz Raza Brailavi into this regard has said that the students of poor villagers in this far-flung and remote area are deprived due to shortage of staff. He said, it is impossible for single teacher to run school where 40 students of five classes are studying. He said, "it is not possible for him to manage more than 25 periods of five classes". He informed Early Times that the said teacher had joined the education department in 2011 at Zonal Education Officer's office Surankote and after that she couldn't be seen in Haribudha area. Locals have allegedly said that their children are ignored by education, education department has not taken any concern into the matter right now. Even they have put this matter before Chief Education Officer Poonch many a times, but no action has been taken yet now. They have appealed to Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir to take action and terminate this careless teacher for the betterment of the students of this remote area. Director Education Department Jammu neither attend the call nor reply WhatsApp message into the matter. |
