| ANTF conducts raids in Punjab, arrests wanted inter-state drug dealer | | |

JAMMU, Apr 28: Anti Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) J&K conducted raids at Balachaur, Kathgarh areas of Nawashehar Punjab and arrested one notorious drug dealer who was wanted in Case FIR 03/2022 u/s 8/15/29 NDPS Act of Police Station ANTF Jammu and is the main receiver of Narcotics and Psychotropic drugs smuggled from Jammu & Kashmir to Punjab. He was operating from Kathgarh Punjab and its adjoining areas including Balachaur, Nawashehar Punjab.
In connection with the investigation of the case, a team of ANTF was constituted which was led by Inspector Ankush Chib and SI Amandeep Singh under close supervision of DYSP Arun Jamwal and SSP ANTF J&K Vinay Sharma. The team conducted series of raids in Balchaur, Kathgarh, Nawashehar in Punjab and arrested one of the most wanted drug dealers identified as Bachittar Singh R/o Village Jandi Kathgarh, Nawashehar wanted in the above cited case.
He used to deposit money in the accounts of drug dealers of South Kashmir who would further send drugs by concealing in trucks going from Kashmir valley to Nawashehar where Bachittar Singh used to collect the drugs and sell it to the local youth of the area to earn huge money in lieu of that. With the arrest of this main notorious drug dealer, ANTF Jammu has been able to break the forward chain network of Narcotics and Psychotropic drugs from Kashmir valley to Punjab.
