Early TImes Report
Jammu, Apr 28: Warehouse shopkeepers association staged a protest here on Thursday against the unscheduled power cuts in Jammu region. Protesters told Early Times that due to the electricity crisis their entire work has been hit. “It seems that the money which was meant for buying electricity has been spent on cheap publicity,” they said. “We are all businessmen and we are on roads. For this J&K Government is responsible. We are unable to work as the government has failed to provide us with basic amenities,” they said, “We are unable to prepare bills due to electricity being snapped. It's the first time we have seen such a crisis.” They said, “All our hydro projects are supplying electricity to other states. If the crisis doesn’t end we won’t be able to send ration to J&K as we are unable to generate e-way bills. Until the electricity crisis doesn’t get over we will not generate e-way bills and send our trucks without these bills.” |
