| Karan Bagh-Gadigarh residents give vent to anger during protest against power crisis | | |

JAMMU, Apr 28: Residents of Karan Bagh, Gadigarh here resorted to high pitch sloganeering while protesting against the Jammu Power Distribution Corporation Limited (JPDCL) for continuous power cuts in the area as well as other areas of the Jammu district. The protesters including women appeared on the main road in Karan Bagh and raised slogans against the JPDCL for long and unscheduled power cuts in the area. They said that the entire Jammu region is reeling under severe power crisis since March even though the whole region is experiencing heat wave conditions.
Although a posse of police appeared on scene the protesters did not let in and continued with their protest. The protesters said that it is a shame that despite such high maximum temperature the JPDCL has failed to provide power supply to the people thus pushing them to the wall. |
