Nad block has no road connectivity | Woman delivers baby in ambulance; development claims punctured yet again | | Early Times Report
Jammu, May 1: A video about an expecting mother being taken upto an ambulance on a cot in Samba district has gone viral. According to the details available with Early Times the woman residing at village Dunga in Nad block developed labour pain and needed immediate attention. In absence of road connectivity, the woman was shifted to the ambulance on a cot and her attendants had to pass through a stream to reach the ambulance. The woman delivered a baby in the ambulance itself and both mother and child are safe. Locals said that Nad Block is not that far from Samba district headquarter but it has no road connectivity as none of the regimes have paid attention towards constructing a road to the village. “We had thought that after J&K’s transition into a Union Territory the ground situation would change but the fact is that our village was without a road before August 5, 2019 and even after passing of more than 2.5 years we continue to wait for the same,” they added. |
