Hindustan Shiv Sena criticizes LG administration for unscheduled power cuts
5/1/2022 11:34:46 PM

EARLY TIMES REPORT

JAMMU, May 1: State President of Hindustan Shiv Sena Vikrant Kapoor has expressed deep concern over the unscheduled power cuts and strongly criticized the LG administration and PDD officials. He urged the Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha to immediately issue instructions to the PDD officials to deal with this crisis.
He was addressing a press conference here today. He criticized the LG administration for the unprecedented situation during the peak summer. He said that the common man is facing nightmarish experience with no proper schedule of the power in the region which is unacceptable as people were expecting round the clock supply under the LG’s administration.
He said that the shortage of power supply has led to scarcity of water also. LG should take cognizance of the matter and issue necessary instructions to the PDD authorities for immediate action to ensure uninterrupted power supply to the people. Expressing concern over the worst summer power crises in decades in Jammu, Vikrant Kapoor said, “Over the past fortnight, most parts of the Jammu division especially Jammu City and rural areas have received electricity supply only for about five to six hours daily that too in intervals ranging between 15 minutes and half an hour.”
He said that the PDD should not force the people to come out in protest and block the roads in protest against their inefficiency. He warned if soon the power crisis is not resolved a mass protest will be launched for which the LG led JK administration will be the responsible.
Senior leaders of Hindustan Shiv Sena Anoop Trikha, Baba Ram Kaith, Abhishek, Himanshu, Amit, women's wing leaders Sapna Kohli, Jyoti Devi and others were also present during the press conference.
