Pak dumps separatists, shifts focus on terrorists

Early Times Report
JAMMU, Sept 23: The ongoing Kashmir unrest has exposed the ugly face of separatists, who at the behest of their masters sitting across LoC, unleashed terror in Kashmir and have taken Valley hostage for the past three months. Common man has started defying the calendar and is trying his best to resume his daily chores. At many places in Srinagar and other parts of Kashmir shops have started reopening and private vehicles have started moving around as the fear of stone-pelters and miscreants is disappearing fast.
Sources said that during the past 10-days Police and other forces have launched a massive crackdown on miscreants and more than 1000 accused have been booked and arrested.
People have realized that separatists and their henchmen are nothing more than the paid agents of Pakistan which wants Kashmir to burn and Kashmiris to die. "The shutdown and protests have not yielded any results and Geelani's rhetoric that Kashmiris are close to freedom has turned out to be a lollipop and a blatant lie," said an analyst.
He said separatists fomented trouble when tourist season was at its peak and business was picking up. "Like 2010 separatists activated their henchmen, who enforced shutdown, and blocked the roads. They locked the schools and instigated people to hit the streets and attack the camps of security forces and police stations. Separatists did all this at the directions of their bosses, who have turned Kashmir into a battlefield to keep India busy," the analyst added.
He said, "Kashmiris have realized that Azadi is an illusion and separatists raise this slogan to exploit them. People have started defying the protest calendar issued by the separatists and are trying to resume their daily chores. More than 80-day long shutdown has pushed Kashmir and Kashmiris to the wall. Many Kashmiris have migrated from form the Valley after losing their jobs as private companies have winded up their operations and vowed not to return."
"What have people achieved by closing down everything for the past 3-months. A common man should realize that Pakistan and separatists are the biggest enemies of Kashmiris as they want Kashmir to remain disturbed forever. They first push Kashmiris towards graveyards and then shed crocodile tears over their bodies. They have been doing politics over the bodies of Kashmiris for the past 26-years," said a politician.
He said, "Police and other forces have succeeded in securing the main towns and people have started moving around but miscreants are still active in the outskirts of Srinagar city and are leaving no stone unturned to disrupt the normal life. They have blocked lanes and by lanes and are acting as dons. Police should shift its focus towards the city outskirts so that people in these areas get Azadi from the terror these miscreants have unleashed."
A Kashmir watcher said, "Pakistan seems to have dumped the separatists after using them and now it has shifted its focus on the terrorists which it's sending into Kashmir. It has started claiming that they are representatives of Kashmiri people. We may see increase in terrorists activities in coming days. Our forces should get ready to thwart the nefarious designs of these Pak sponsored terrorists."
He said, "People in Kashmir are fed up and want to resume their daily chores. The state government should act tough against the radical elements and show them their real place as mere five percent miscreants have taken entire Kashmir as hostage."
