Patient's attendant ransacks Emergency at District Hospital | | | Kishtwar Early Times Report kishtwar, Feb 18: A day after MOS Home Sajjad Ahmed Kichloo praised functioning of District Hospital Kishtwar, unruly attendant today ransacked the glasses of a cabin inside emergency ward of the hospital alleging that no doctor was on duty when his patient suffered a massive attack. The charges were however, denied by the hospital authorities. According to Medical Superintendent DH Kishtwar Dr. Ghulam Mohammad Naqib, he along with Surgeon Dr. Ravinder and Physician specialist Dr. Vikar Hussain were present when the patient was brought inside emergency. He said that without any reason the attendant accompanying the patient created hue and cry and ransacked the glasses of one of the cabins where one lady patient was undergoing treatment. He said that besides ransacking the cabin, the accused also attempted an assault on the doctor on duty. He said that soon after the incident, they informed the police who visited the spot. He said that this is 2nd such incident during last 6 months. He said that it was now up to police to take the legal action against the culprit. Mr. Naqib said that in order to maintain security within the hospital premises, they from time to time demanded establishment of permanent police post inside District Hospital Kishtwar so that such incident could be prevented. The culprit managed to escape from the hospital premises after the incident. Meanwhile, former District president PDP, Kishtwar Farooq Ahmed Siddiqui who was also present inside the hospital premises when the incident took place condemned the ransacking of public property and demanded stern action against the culprit. He said that police must act against the culprit irrespective of his political affiliation. |
