Tell PSC conditional jobs unacceptable, threaten resignation
KP women dismay over working in Valley

SRINAGAR, Nov 7: The Kashmiri Pandit female employees residing at Vessu camp are disgruntled. This is what they told a visiting Parliamentary delegation headed by BJP national spokesperson and member Parliament Rajiv Pratap Rudy.
In a separate meeting with the visiting members of the team, the female employees' registered their strong protest against their employment in valley and narrated sorrowful tales of their two and half years of stay and journey in valley.
The Parliamentary delegation was further told that they were facing many hardships during their workings in valley and cannot discharge their duties under such stressed and depressed conditions. Many employees also complained of suffering from heart diseases due to mental agony and unrest.
"We do not need bungalows or any other facility but only plead in front of you to make possible our presence with our children and other family members who are already living exiled life in other parts of the country," said one of the female employees to PSC members while crying in pain and tears tickling down from her eyes.
"We are not doing jobs for money but we deserve to get employment keeping in view of the situation we faced after our migration and during the same period we continue to pursue education under such odd circumstances," said another employee to delegation where threatening that females have taken firm decision to resign in case Government could not redress their grave issues.
"After twenty three years of long migration it is very difficult for us to adjust ourselves again in Kashmir valley as there is a generation gap and other reasons," said an employee, adding that it was a distant dream of Government of India to bring back community as no community member is ready to settled back in Valley.
The Parliamentary Sub-Committee gave a patient hearing to the crucial demands of the female employees and assured them every possible help to mitigate their problems. The delegation was also submitted a memorandum by the female employees listing series of serious issues pertaining to women.
There is a simmering discontent among majority of the employees working at length and breadth in valley as they feel difficult to work in a changed work culture of Valley and number of employees especially females have left jobs ever since their appointment.
It is pertinent to mention here that during last two and half years, the women employees working in Valley under Prime Ministers Employment Package have drafted letters and memorandums from time to time to UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi, Home Minister, National Women Rights Commission, PMO office, Various bosses of political parties including BJP stalwart Sushma Suraj and other functionaries in the State including Chief Minister, drawing their attention towards the gloomy side of Kashmiri Pandit females in this part of State.
