| Divisive NC diverting people's attention away from real issues | | One community Kashmir | | Neha
JAMMU, Nov 7: The issueless, directionless and failed NC, which like the Congress and Article 370, is the root cause of all troubles in Jammu and Kashmir and which has destroyed Jammu province politically, economically and socially, is preaching secularism in the progressive Jammu province and shamelessly accusing certain party of playing communal and divisive politics in this region to divide the state. The NC, which like the Congress, has caused schism in the society, is also saying that Jammu and Kashmir has to flourish as a single entity and shining abode of various faiths.
The NC leadership has turned so shameless that it, instead of focusing its attention on the issues of governance and public-related issues, is trying its best to divert the people's attention away from the real issues and its own failures and in the process has become an object of contempt and ridicule. It has turned so shameless that it doesn't say a single word about the changes in the demographic profile of Kashmir and Jammu province and is striving to create an impression that while communalism has adversely impacted the Jammu society, Kashmir is a shining example of secularism. It is not saying that Kashmir which was once hundred per cent Hindu has today become 100 per cent region of one particular religion and Jammu has become a land of all varieties of refugees, who have been living like brothers and, at the same time, condemning the NC and the Congress for their miserable plight. The NC leadership is not telling the people that it was Farooq Abdullah and his ilk who asked the Kashmiri youth to cross over to Pakistan to undergo arms training so that they could fight out India.
The NC, which has rendered the people of Jammu province, Hindus, Sikhs and Muslims included, powerless and shamelessly and brazenly promoted separatism, sectarianism and communalism in Kashmir Valley, has no word in its regressive dictionary to explain the damage it has caused over the period to Kashmir, Jammu and Ladakh. It's no wonder that the NC, which was not so long ago a force to reckon with in Kashmir and used to be an important player in Jammu and Ladakh, has lost all its appeal and sheen, with the people across the state condemning the NC leadership as "most corrupt, opportunist, anti-people, anti-democratic and utterly undependable and irresponsible".
The NC must stop preaching sermons in Jammu province, as the people of this region are totally fed up with both the NC and Congress. Even otherwise, a party that stands for greater autonomy and talks only of the "aspirations" of a segment of society in Kashmir has no right to preach secularism in Jammu. As for the political future of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh state, it is destined to disintegrate sooner than later and the NC is working overtime to hasten the process of the state's disintegration. |
