Omar monopolizes city's prime advertisement space | After replacing hoarding pasted ahead of Lalkar Rally, CM exhibits his 'service card' on PM's visit | | Bivek Mathur Jammu, Feb 2: Media savvy Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has come up with a new hoarding at the prime most advertisement space at Tawi Bridge replacing the last one pasted ahead of Narendra Modi's Lalkar rally to exhibit his report card to the Prime Minister Manmohan Singh who landed in the winter capital today. In the hoarding, the Chief Minister stands tall alongside a quotation, "Public service is my only mission". While hoarding has been well made and even better placed, many are questioning the timings of both the hoardings that came up before Modi's rally and then before PM's visit. The hoarding was earlier placed just two days ahead of Lallkar rally of Modi in Jammu on December 1, 2013 with message-"My hand holding of youth is above political motives" and the recent one has been placed again just before the inauguration of 101st Indian Science Congress event to be held at Jammu University from February 3-7. Political analysts are suggesting that Omar does not want to leave any stone unturned to show his presence through such means of publicity as besides Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh, former President, Vice President and many other eminent people are coming to Jammu for the National Science Congress. Omar Abdullah had earlier reacted harshly to the media reports about placing his hoarding just two days ahead of BJP Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi's Lalkar Rally in Jammu saying, "It's my state. I can place my hoarding anywhere and the hoarding was placed deliberately. Such things can never be done by mistake".
