Besides some noted Writers, Journalists ,Social activists in particular and educated people of Kashmir in general, Salman Soz while criticizing the recommendation of unlimited administrative units across the state by state government on social networking site facebook today wrote, that at a time when basic facilities like health care and educational infrastructure of the state is in shambles, he cannot understand how a work which took Chief Secretart S.S Biloria and a team headed by Mushtaq Ganai years to come up with reports about the demand and need of administrative units was finalized by cabinet sub-committee (CSC) within weeks and then took the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah a single day to review and few minutes to recommend and take credits.
Salman Soz wrote that "Ganai Committee report took 1.5 years on top of several years of work done by then Chief Secretary S.S Biloria Committee to come up with its report recommending new 220 or so administrative units plus more than 700 Patwar halqas."
Expressing astonishment Soz added that "It took the Cabinet Sub-committee only a few weeks to "consult" people of the State and come up with an additional "demand" of more than 400 administrative units plus besides 1000 Patwar halqas" . Directly criticizing the role played by Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah in this whole process. Salman soz wrote that after (CSC) recommendations, it then took the Chief Minister only one day to review and approve this major
decision and only a few more minutes to take credit.
