Omar terming nationalist ideology communal | Promoting seditious ideology for votes | | Neha JAMMU, Apr 10: NC working president, J&K CM and an agent of AICC vice-president Rahul Gandhi was right when he on Wednesday said that current Parliamentary elections have placed India on a crucial crossroad where the people of the country have to decide between the two ideologies of communal divide and the inclusiveness and harmony. He made this important statement at Ramsoo (Jammu) while addressing an election rally in support of the coalition candidate. Indeed, the current elections are a contest between those who want to cause another communal partition of India and those who want to end caste and communal angularities and unite the nation and convert the banana republic into a genuine state committed to safeguarding and promoting further its geo-political and economic interests. Omar Abdullah, who has no report card to place before the people and has been playing divisive and communal card ever since his elevation to the office of the CM to hide his failures and acts of omission and commission, willfully crossed the line to hoodwink and mislead the people by saying that Rahul Gandhi symbolizes inclusiveness and harmony and described the nationalists represented by the BJP as divisive and communal. What he said should not surprise anyone. After all, he is a owner of a party that has been indulging in naked communalism and practicing anti-Dogra and divisive politics ever since 1932, when Sheikh Abdullah formed the NC to fight out the Dogras and achieve segretation of Kashmir from the Dogra kingdom. However, what should irritate all those which a secular and democratic outlook was his assertion that the ideology that his NC and the Congress profess and brazenly preach strengthens the roots of communal amity, promotes brotherhood and ensures equal opportunities of growth and development for all sections of the society, irrespective of any consideration of religion, region, caste or colour. He only preached falsehood. The fact is that the NC and its ally have been leaving no stone unturned to polarize the society to nurture their regressive and hate-the-other ideology that divides the society for vote bank politics. If what he said about the ideology that he and his ally believe in, promote and preach was ridiculous, what he said about the State of Jammu and Kashmir was all the more quite untenable. He said "Jammu and Kashmir is 'Miniature India' where people of different sections of the society and various shades of faith co-exist in an environment of love and brotherhood since centuries. He was only partly right. He was absolutely wrong when he equated Kashmir with Jammu. It is Jammu, and not Kashmir, where people of different sections of the society and various shades of faith co-exist in an environment of love and brotherhood since centuries. As far as Kashmir is concerned, the leadership there, including the one of the NC, rid the Valley of all the nom-Muslims long ago with the dominant Delhi-based political class comprising rank communalists extending its fullest possible support to the Kashmiri leadership. It must remain a matter of shame that those who call themselves secular and democrat converted Kashmir into a one-religion region within a short span of 43 years (1947-1990). It would not be out of place to mention here that Jammu province houses more than 1.5 million victims of fanaticism, all Hindus and Sikhs, including nearly three lakh Kashmiri Hindus, and that the Kashmiri Sikhs have not once but umpteen times threatened that they will quit the Valley as the fanatics in Kashmir have made their life a veritable hell on earth. It is a different story that those who matter in Delhi refuse to recognize the ground realities in Kashmir and term the nationalist constituency in the state and in the rest of the country communal and divisive. But one thing is clear: The fake secularists like Omar Abdullah will become totally irrelevant sooner than later, as a strong pro-nationalist wave is sweeping the country, including Jammu province and Ladakh region. Bulk of the Indian population has seen through the dangerous game plan of the fake secularists and it has made up its mind to decimate them. Wait for May 16 results. |
