PDP committed to work with any Government heading at centre: Mufti Sayeed | NC-Congress alliance allegedly troubling state natives since 1987 | | Javaid Naikoo Srinagar, Apr 10: Calling National Conference-COingress alliance as `troublesome' since 1987, the patron of Peoples democratic Party (PDP), Mufti Muhamamd Sayeed today said the PDP was committed to work with any government at New Delhi. Addressing road side gatherings during his road show in south Kashmir's Pulwama and Shopian districts, Mufti said that in 1987 it was NC-Congress alliance which allegedly gave birth to militancy in Jammu and Kashmir and the end product was emergence of people like Salah-ud-din in Kashmir ( presently heading militant outfit Hizbul Mujahideen) and added that instead of any development and peace, the alliance added worries for people in the form of bloodshed across the state. " In their recent alliance, though circumstances to breath in freely for common and claims of development are vivid for everybody, however hanging of Afzal Guru, booking youth under false cases and adding to the problems of unemployment are major failures of the ongoing NC-Congress alliance," he said. While announcing to work with any political party ruling at centre, Mufti said that if PDP is voted to Power it will re-start the process of development which according to him PDP had initiated when it ruled the state. He made mention of the launch of the LoC bus and described it as a big achievement. The road show which began from Tahab village of Pulwama District reached to Shopian District through Pinjoora village and from there Mufti's cavalcade crossed main town and reached Sedow village where he addressed a gathering and assured them solution to their problems if PDP candidate, Mehbooba Mufti is succeded and their party was voted to power in forthcoming assembly elections. While addressing people in Jamnagri village, people complained about substandard pesticides and fertilizers sold in the market. Mufti in his reign exempted apple boxes from tax. He assured a concrete agriculture policy if voted to power. |
