How dependent JK BJP on Modi ? | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Nov 12: The BJP, It seems has been riding on clouds for quite some time. Earlier the party talked about mission 44+ and now they are eying around 50 seats. The party's morale boosting, political experts believe is a result of Modi wave with no contribution from the local (suspended) MLAs or the leaders. The BJP MLAs and local leaders, according to Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah miserably failed to raise the issues pertaining to Jammu region. "They called on me very often but only to get their jobs done," Omar said recently. However, Chaman Lal Gupta has been the only exception. He has been striving hard for Jammu region. Political experts warn the BJP leadership and workers of being complacent. There is no denying the fact that the BJP won both the seats in the region in Lok Sabha polls held early this year but Assembly constituencies have many shocks and surprises in store for them. And with the present team of leaders who have desperately failed to plead the Jammu case, the chances of a repeat of Lok Sabha elections seem quite bleak. And with Modi too busy to rush to Jammu every time, the local BJP leaders can only hope for the best. |
