| Conman attempts to outrage modesty of woman, arrested | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 12: Police today arrested a conman for alleged making an bid to outrage the modesty of a woman here on Monday in Janipur locality of city .
"The accused has been identified as Amarnath Sharma Son Beer Chand Sharma, police sources said.
As per police sources the incident took place at Bhawani Nagar when a woman seeking some resolve to some domestic problems was called by above said conman Amarnath Sharma at his residence to offer worship of a Goddess. "The woman earlier also visited a number of times to the conman for redressal of her problematic life, sources added.
According police sources, the victim has reported that accused asked the woman to stand naked before the idol of Goddess and then started taking advantage of the situation. Complainant has alleged that when she objected, he tried to outrage her modesty, police sources said quoting complainant.
Later, after hearing hue and cry of the woman the neighbours rushed to the spot to help the victim and also informed the police. Police team immediately reached to the spot and arrested the accused while a case under FIR u/s 354 RPC stands registered against the accused.
Meantime further investigation of the case are in progress. |
