Accused denied bail in Bakra Murder case | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 12 (JNF): Principal Sessions Judge Jammu Justice RS Jain today rejected the bail application of of accused namely Deepak Kumar facing trial in much publicized Sanjay Kumar alias Bakra Murder case. According to the police case against he accused, Deepak Kumar conspired with Rajesh Dogra and Vicky Thakur for committing the murder of one Sanjay Kumar alias Bakra on June 25, 2011. It is further case of the prosecution that the Deepak Kumar had cut the barrel of a double barrel gun and thereby converted it into a short double barrel gun and provided the same to the accused Rajesh Dogra for committing the murder of the Sanjay Kumar. While rejecting the bail application of the accused, Principal Sessions Judge after hearing Special Public Prosecutor RK Kotwal appearing for the state observed that this Court was of the considered view that the severity and degree of punishment would be at higher side if the allegation leveled against the accused is proved to be true. Court further observed that the allegations leveled against the accused were very serious in nature and against the society. With these observations Court dismissed the bail application. |
