Jammu, Jan 12: The NSS unit of Government College of Education organized a series of Programme on the occasion of National Youth day on the birth Anniversary of Swami Vivekananda on Monday. According to press release, the basic purpose of the programme was to promote National Integration, Communal Harmony, Value System, Oneness and Universal Peace. The students made presentations on various issues related with leadership & personality development took a pledge to devote themselves in studies, fight against various social evils, give regards to their elders & keep themselves away from all those bad habits which spoils the future of the youth. The NSS Unit of the College organised a special cultural bonanza with a theme 'Kudiyan Di Lohri'. The Mega cultural event in which students presented songs, Poems, Gazals, Gidda and Bhangras which was appreciated by one and all presented on the occasion. A special prayer for universal peace prosperity was made by the staff and the students for progress, prosperity and development of all. Principal of the College Prof. (Dr.) Ajeet Angral advised the students to inculcate value and hard working for becoming global leaders. The highly innovative and impressive event concluded with vote of thanks presented by the NSS Programme officer of the College Professor Ashu Jolly. All the teaching, nonteaching staff students were present and participated in the function. |
