V VM JU celebrates National Youth Day

JAMMU, Jan 12: Vivekanand Vichar Manch, University of Jammu today, celebrated National Youth Day on the occasion of birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, in which many students and research scholars of Jammu university participated.Parshotam ji Dadheechi, Prant karyavah, RSS was the key speaker and Prof. Rajnikant from the Dept. of physics was chief guest on the occasion.
Prof B.N. Labh , Head of Department Buddhist Studies, Jammu University and Prof. Anurag Gangal from the department of Political Science Jammu University were the special invitee.
The programme started with the singing of patriotic songs and a skit was also performed by the university students on the life of Swami Vivekananda. While addressing , Dadheechi ji threw light on the life and teachings of Swami Vivekananda and shared various incidents of the life of swami Vivekananda and advised the students and scholars to adopt the valuable messages of Swami Vivekananda in their daily life .
He also stressed the students to inculcate the habit of research and on the issues of national interest and daily devote some time for games and physical activities to remain healthy and mentally fit. While addressing the students Prof. Rajnikant, chief guest on the occasion said that he is impressed of the activities done by the students in the programme and feel pleased to be present on this kind of programme held by the university students on the life of Swami Vivekananda . He also shed light on the historic speech of swami Vivekananda in Chicago . A Library was also inaugurated in the hostel in the occasion . The Programme was hosted by Akshay Sharma, Phd. Scholar , Department of Museology, Jammu university. The vote of thanks was delivered by Ranvir Parihar. In the last sweets were distributed among students and the programme was concluded with the singing of Vande Matram.
