Sacred Heart College of Education (SHCE) today celebrated Lohri Festival in the college premises. The festival was started with prayers chanting mantra's. The fire was lit by MD of the College Hari Singh Chib, the Principal of the college Dr. KK Tiwari along with all staff members and the students Prikrams's were performed by students and the staff around. The Sacred fire Folk songs were sung by students, whole environment was enthralled. Everyone around was enthusiastic and was enjoying the occasion. On this occasion some cultural activities were also performed by the students. At the end Principal of the college Dr. KK Tiwari threw light on the importance of the festival and prashad like groundnuts, rewari etc were distributed among the students.
Little Buds Public School Krishna Nagar Jammu celebrates lohri with great enthusiasm and gaiety in which school management and students participated with great fanfare. A holy bonfire fire was lit on the occasion while some of the students present colorful cultural programmes and some participated in poetry and song competition held as a part of the activity. Later Principal Shakuntla Bangotra addressed the students and staff and briefed them about the importance of the day which not only symbolizes traditional festivity but also holds religious values. Among others who spoke on the occasion included Suman Lata, Manju Sharma other staff members. Shaveta Mohan, Neha, Himani, Pooja, Mamta,Satya devi, Sakshi, Rakhi and Bimla Devi were also present on this occasion. |
