Arrangements for IPPI prog discussed

KATHU, Jan 12 : In order to make arrangements for the implementation of Pulse Polio Immunization campaign, keeping India free of polio, Assistant Commissioner Anshul Garg (IAS Probationer) convened a meeting of District Task Force members here at conference hall of DC office complex here at Kathua today.
CMO Kathua, Medical Superintendent, CDPO Kathua, BMO, CEO Kathua, ACD Kathua attended the meeting.
During the meeting Medical Superintendent District Hospital Kathua briefed the meeting regarding the micro plan of intensified pulse polio immunization programme which is to be carried out in two phases in the district. The first phase of immunization programme will take place on 18th Jan. 2015 and the second phase will be held on 22th Feb. 2015 in which all the children in the age group 0 -5 years will be given two drops of OPV. The plan for social mobilization for the successful implementation of the immunization programme was also discussed in the meeting which will include jingle on radio, awareness in urban and rural areas and drum beating etc.
