Government formation: Crucial BJP meet today | | | Asif Iqbal Naik Kishtwar Jan 27: In order to take the newly elected legislators on board before making final announcement of possible pact with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) over formation of government in Jammu and Kashmir, Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) has called a meeting of newly elected legislators at Jammu. As per the details, party summoned all the elected legislators as well as senior party leaders to Jammu for the meeting to be addressed by party General Secretary Ram Madhav. The sources divulged that Ram Madav will brief the newly elected legislators and the party senior leaders about the ongoing talks with the PDP over the government formation, beside will also brief them about the Common Minimum Program drafted by both the parties before reaching to any agreement over the government formation in the state that witnesses hung assembly after the declaration of Assembly result on 23rd of last month. Sources said that Ram Madhav after holding the meeting with party legislators and state leadership will brief the Party President Amit Shah, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other senior party leaders at the Center. The sources further added that BJP leadership will also take a final call on the dates regarding the oath ceremony to be held in Jammu in which Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to take the part along with some senior party leadership at center. |
