Principal changes R-Day function appease MLA 1/28/2015 12:33:20 AM G S Asgotra Early Times Report JAMMU, Jan 27: The height of sycophancy on part of Principal of Government Higher Secondary School Hatli could be gauged from the fact that he got changed the Republic Day celebrations on January 27 only for Choudhary Lal Singh, who was busy in Basohli on January 26. Moreover, the organizing of function at Higher Secondary School, virtually disturbed the private students of class 12th, whose annual examination scheduled today. Sources informed Early Times that Principal of Government Higher Secondary School Hatli, Jamel Singh, known staunch supporter of MLA Basohli Lal Singh, to appease his political master, rescheduled the R-Day function to January 27, instead of January 26 as the MLA was busy in several functions the previous day. They further said that even the Naib Tehsildar of Hatli was not informed about the change in schedule. Even some locals of Hatli area and teachers had objected to the decision of Principal to change the schedule of Republic Day celebrations. "Republic day function is celebrated on January 26 but it was changed only to appease Lal Singh", sources quoting locals said. Sources further said that the teacher who was anchoring the programme at Higher Secondary, breaking all limits of sycophancy and honor of teaching community, virtually kneeled down before Lal Singh, when he climbed the stage. The bi-annual examination of class 12th private students, sources said, was also in the same school at 1 PM, but the celebrations concluded at 2 PM.
