PoJK-DPF celebrates R-Day, anchors hopes JPC Report to be implemented soon | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Jan 27: A large number of men, women and children under the banner of Pak Occupied Jammu and Kashmir Displaced Persons Front (PoJK-DPF) celebrated Republic day outside the Press Club of Jammu like past years and also highlighted their problems while anchoring hopes that JPC Report shall be implemented within a year. Earlier the large number of refugees holding banners Banners, Flags and Play Cards to highlight their demands assembled outside Press Club Jammu to mark the Republic Day and activists hailing from Deva. Batala. Bhimber. Mirpur. Kotli. Muzatrabad. Sudhniti Nowshera. Bagh and Palandry celebrated R-Day differently. Capt Yudhvir Singh Chib. President POJK DP"s Front who led the refugees unfurled the 'Tri colour' at the venue amid patriotic slogans and the National Anthem. Speaking to gathering President PoJK-DPF Capt Chib put light on the POJK DP's issues and the Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) Report. "We have great expectations from the elected government at centre," he said and hoed that they (centre) will fulfill their promise shortly. Capt Chib also explained about the recommendations of Joint Parliamentary Committee and requested Centre and State Govts to accept all recommendations comprehensively within a year. Capt Chib and other speakers also welcomed to all members and Chairman of JPC, P Bhattacharya for their humanistic approach towards their plight.. Among those who spoke on the occasion included Jaipal Sharma (Gen Secretary), R P Singh, Smt Sakandya Devi (President Women wing), Inspector Kuldeep Singh, S Hari Singh, Pawan Singh Slathia and others. |
