DCE organizes inter-collegiate symposium cum poster making competition | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 29: Dogra College of Education today organized an inter collegiate symposium cum poster making competition in collaboration with Indian Oil Corporation in association with the Environmental Club of the College in college premises. According to press release, the topic of the symposium was "Save Fuel - Save Money and Environment" where in 50 participants hailing from various Colleges of Education participated. The theme of poster making competition was the same; wherein 90 students of various B Ed. Colleges took part. The function started with lighting of traditional lamp. Earlier Shamsher Singh Convener Environmental Club of the college presented the welcome address. Girish Rajan, State Level coordinator, Oil Industries J&K was the Chief Guest on the occasion. In his address to the students he stressed upon the dire need of the present times that every one of us should conserve fuel as much as possible and utilise it judicially and economically. Saving fuel means saving money and saving environment from getting deteriorated. The members of the jury for the symposium included Rajni Manhas, Indu Puri and Sumer Singh while for the poster making competition the jury members were Poonam Gupta, Vintee and Shamsher Singh all Senior Lecturers of the college. In the intercollege Symposium, Natasha from Dogra College of Education was adjudged first while Pardeep from Adarsh College of Education stood second and Rahul from Dogra Degree College got the third prize, while in the Poster Making competition Vasudha and Sonia from MIER College of Education bagged the first prize, Pooja and Nisha from Dogra College of Education got the second prize while Rashmit Kour and Harleen Kour from Ranjit College of Education got the third Prize. |
