People anchoring hopes on Mufti led PDP-BJP Govt: PAPA | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Jan 29: Mufti Sayeed led PDP-BJP coalition state government is now likely to take over shortly and at the same time people at large seem keen to see its effective inning, expressed by Deep Singh the president of non political organization namely People's Action & Public Accountability (PAPA). In a press statement issued today, Singh stated of course, expectations are based on Mufti's earlier tenure as Chief Minister but things will depend on the much needed cooperation from the BJP's central leadership that has to monitor the working of its newly elected lot. He recalled despite huge central funds, required targets could not be achieved due to ineffective leadership of outgoing (previous) government. "So-called anti corruption and anti crime institutions of state just initiated actions at sub-minor levels while feeling helpless to rein the actual managers including the ministers at civil secretariat level," Singh alleged. In fact, administrative set up within civil secretariat, always used to be hand in glove with the ruling political bosses who have very cleverly protected themselves with the help of legislation, PAPA alleged. He said, "New state government must go for effective measures against the top corruption breading center of the state otherwise people of state have to face one more demoralizing period of next six years." |
