Mankotia submits memorandum to DTM Northern Railways | | | Jammu, Jan 30: Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party state president Balwant Singh Mankotia accompanied by Spokesman Young Panthers Gagan Pratap Singh and Anil Rakwal Block President today submitted the memorandum to the DTM Northern Railways RN Meena apprising him of the inconvenience caused to the railway commuters of Udhampur. The memorandum stated that the Katra-Pathankot Diesel Multiple Unit (DMU) had been discontinued since last one month which is causing a grave inconvenience to the general commuters including the employees, students and the common people. A copy of memorandum also submitted that Prime Minister of India Narinder Modi during his visit to Udhampur last year had also promised few DMUs on the Jammu-Udhampur Railway line but nothing has been realized on the ground realities so far. Mankotia urged upon the DTM to expedite the immediate restoration of Katra-Pathankot DMU within two days or otherwise NPP shall be forced to hold indefinite protest in support of the pending demand of the public at large. The copies of the memorandum were also marked to DRM Northern Railways Jammu Tawi and IG Railways for information and necessary action. |
