DIC Kathua organizes symposium on "Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao' 1/30/2015 11:08:22 PM Early Times Report Kathua, Jan 30: District Information Centre (DIC) Kathua today organized a symposium on the topic " Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao" clubbed with theme based cultural program here at Rashpal Memorial Convent Higher Secondary School. According to press release, Chief Education Officer T R Magotra was the chief guest while Chairman Rashpal Memorial convent Higher Secondary School Rajni Kant Sharma was the guest of honour on the occasion. Principal of the School, officials of Information Department, staff and students of the school were present. The programme started with lighting of traditional lamp by the chief guest followed by Saraswati Vandana by the students. As many as eight students of the school participated in the symposium. The participants through light on the topic " Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao" Chairman of the school Rajnikant Sharma administered pledge to the school students to educate people regarding the menace and its consequences. The proceeding of the programme was anchored by Principal Harsh Mahajan who appreciated information department for organising the programme. He also presented vote of thanks. Later Chief Guest gave away certificates and trophies among the students.
