srinagar, Jan 30: : Border Security Force (BSF) Inspector General Aditya Mishra today said that militants present across border are desperate to sneak into this side as from many days they have made many unsuccessful attempts to infiltrate into Kashmir. He however admitted that situation along Line of Control is tense but under control. Interacting with medial on the sidelines of a passing out parade in Srinagar, BSF Inspector General Adiya Mishra said that although the situation along Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir is a little tense, however it is under control as the army and BSF have been effectively curtailing infiltration attempts. “The situation is a little tense but under control and we have been effectively retaliating to any attempts that they are making towards infiltration,” Mishra said. He added that two-three days back there was an incident in which at attempt to breach the fence and storm in was made by the other side but that was made unsuccessful. “As of now, there are incidents of firing and shelling in specific localised areas. Yesterday, a shell fell on a house and three members of a family got injured. So, that creates a little bit of uncertainty and panic among the civilians,” he added. Mishra further reaffirmed that the security forces are effectively retaliating any attempts of the infiltration. “We have noticed people trying to come close to the fence and attempt to infiltrate at night,” he said, adding, “alert troops have noticed dragging marks, but in the last few days, there has not been any successful infiltration.” |
