Deputation of Kishtwar youths called upon Dy CM | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Mar 18: A deputation of educated unemployed youths of District Kishtwar under the banner of Chinar Power Projects Workers Union led by Chairman Joginder Bhandari called upon the deputy Chief Minister, Dr. Nirmal Singh and submitted a memorandum. According to press release, Bhandari while talking to the DyCM demanded early resumption of work on Rattle hydroelectric Project Drabshalla of which the work has been suspended on 17 July 2015 and consequently 493 workers were retrenched by M/s L&T.It may be worth to mention here that the client of the said project is M/s GVK Power Development which has been alloted to them on BOOT ( Build ,Own, Operate and Transfer ) basis for a period of 35 years but it is a matter of great concern that the said client left the work half way without any reason for which the Jon seekers and those retrenched were suffering a lot on account of suspension of the work on the said project. Dr.Nirmal Singh , deputy Chief minister gave patience hearing to the deputation and assured that he will soon hold talk with the top officials of GVK in order to get the work of the said project resumed for the larger interest of the educated unemployed. |
