Army jawan among two booked under 'dowry case' | | | Early Times Report
rajouri, Mar 18: Police today have registered a 'dowry harassment' case against a serving soldier and his father following the complain victim (his wife) who approached the police at Rajouri today. Nisha Sharma wife of Navneet Goswami, a soldier serving in Assam Rifles and presently on leave today approached Police Station Rajouri and lodged complaint alleging therein that her husband and father-in-law namely Kali Dass are harassing her for demanding 'dowry.' Quoting complainant, inspector Yash Pal Singh SHO, have approached the police for legal help and accordingly a case under sections 498A/323/109 RPC stands registered against the accused under FIR No 132/2015. He said that complainant informed the police that she got married some three years ago and her husband and father in-law continuously have been harassing her for more dowry. The vioctim also has stated even she was a victim of domestic violence. |
