JKSWDC organizes awareness camp 3/20/2015 11:52:03 PM Early Times Report JAMMU, Mar 20 : An awareness camp was organized by J&K State Women's Development Corporation in collaboration with Swabhimaan Charitable Trust at Sabzi Mandi Parade Ground, Jammu on Thursday. Near about 300 men and women of the areas participated in the camp and were apprised about the schemes run by JKWDC. The camp was inaugurated by Dr. Naheed Soz, Managing Director, JKWDC. The scheme run by JKWDC was discussed during the camp and the ladies were asked to take benefit of the schemes. The ladies were also addressed to start their business and support their family in running day to day life. The school going girls who participated in the camp were also advised to avail education loan if they feel any financial problems in continuing their studies. The ladies were asked to come forward and take soft loans under various schemes like National Minorities Development Finance Corporation, NBCFDC, NHDFC and ESW from the corporation and to start their own small business unit. The resource persons who participated in the camp spoke on different issues like Micro Finance/Education Loan Scheme, Female Foeticide and Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao and also on other issues. A team from State Disaster Management Jammu Unit also gave live demonstration for preparedness in disaster management. Vijay Kumar Tikoo, Development Officer throws light on the scheme being implemented by WDC in detail. Among other Neha Bhan, Chief Coordinator (SCT), Raj Kumari and Ravi Kumar field functioners of JKWDC also spoke on the occasion.
