Sleuths of vigilance raids J&K Cements, SMHSH | | | Srinagar, Mar 20: The sleuths of State Vigilance Organization (SVO) conducted two different raids in at J&K Cements Ltd and SMHS Hospital Srinagar to probe the allegations of mal-practice/ misappropriations and seized some relevant records. According to vigilance spokesperson, the sleuths of Vigilance Organization Kashmir J&K headed by DySP Adil Hussain conducted a raid on March 19, at its working site Khrew and Head office Nawa-I-Subah Complex Srinagar alongwith departmental vigilance officers of J&K Cements Ltd in presence of Executive Magistrate on the allegations that officers/officials of J&K Cements Ltd by way of favoritism have purchased imported coal of inferior quality from local dealers and that too without following the proper official procedure. The vigilance team lifted samples of coal from working site at Khrew for chemical analysis and records were obtained for scrutiny for further course of action. Yet in another similar incident the vigilance team headed by DySP Muneer Ahmad conducted raid at Parking slots of OPD/Causality of SMHS Hospital Srinagar on the allegations that some employees of SMHS Hospital Srinagar in league with contractor have allotted the parking slots on very low rates and are charging Rs.20/- per LMV as parking fee against agreed fee Rs.10/- as per tender notice. However, some relied documents too have been obtained for scrutiny and further necessary action under law. |
