ZEO’s Office Manjakot sealed amid allegations of 'embezzlement' 5/27/2015 11:36:43 PM Early Times Report Rajouri , May 27: Following several complaints about the mismanagement /embezzlement in the office of Zonal Education Officer (ZEO) at Manjakot and on the directions of Priya Sethi, Minister of State for Education, Culture & Information, the district administration has sealed the office of Zonal Education Officer (ZEO) on Tuesday evening. On the direction of Minister, the district administration has also constituted a three member committee headed by Deputy CEO to investigate the authenticity of embezzlement complaints. MoS Priya Sethi was on her maiden tour to district Rajouri on Tuesday and besides having a busy schedule she reviewed the functioning of Education Department and also visited Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University (BGSBU) and also assured A Hamal, Vice Chancellor (VC) and administration of BGSBU to take up their demands at government level. She also sought the details from the BGSBU administration regarding alleged Scholarship Scam that has taken place in the university recently and while talking to reporters Priya Sethi said, "Government has taken the matter seriously and stern action would be taken against the perpetrators". MoS for education was apprised by the local political representatives about several misappropriations and violations of rules and regulations committed by the said in-charge ZEO, Shahnawaz Khan following which she directed education authorities to deal the matter strictly. Following the direction the district administration and education authorities on Tuesday evening sealed the ZEO office however the supporters of ZEO, resisted the operation but their attempt was foiled by the police party lead by SHO,Manjakot under the supervision of Saheen Mirza, SDPO   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
