JMC Comm delivers awareness talk on 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyan' at KCPS | | | Early Times Report Jammu, May 27: Saujanya Sharma, Municipal Commissioner of Jammu visited various schools in the city with a view to having a face-to-face interaction with the youth and sharing with them his passion for converting the ideal of a neat and clean India into a concrete reality. JMC Commissioner visited KC Public School on Tuesday and addressed a huge gathering of students in the multi-purpose hall of KC Sports Club adjacent to the school. He was given a warm welcome by the school children who also presented a short street play in promotion of the 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyan' before his address. In his highly inspired talk, he spoke at length about the dream of an ideal India Mahatma Gandhi which were projected through his speeches and writings and why it was imperative for the country to translate that dream into reality especially in view of the contemporary world scenario in which India is firmly entrenched as a truly democratic, secular and progressive nation. The students of KC Public School were deeply impressed with the talk and pledged to devote themselves to the mission of a clean India. After the talk, Sharma was given a guided tour of KC Sports Club in company with Arjun Chowdhary, CEO of KC Sports Club, Raju Chowdhary, Managing Director of KC Group of Industries, Dr. Ram Thakur, Academic Director of KC Public School and Amarendra Mishra, Principal of KC Public School. Arjun Chowdhary apprised Sharma of the missionary spirit of the Club fully dedicated to promoting health and wellness among the people of Jammu & Kashmir and to offer its youth the opportunity to hone their skills in a wide range of sports and games and to make a place for themselves in sporting arenas at national and international levels. |
