Need Based Workers, Casual Labourers of PWD call off strike 6/19/2015 10:13:20 PM Early Times Report Rajouri, June 19: The Casual labourers, Need based workers working in PW (R&B) Department who were on an indefinite strike for redressal of their grievances / fulfillment of their genuine demands called off their strike on the verbal assurances given by Worthy Chief Engineer, PW (R&B) Department Jammu at PWD Dak bungalow Rajouri for release of their pending wages. Chief Engineer also assured the Casual Labourers, Need Based Workers and ITI Trained Workers that no one will terminate their services and he has already made the genuine recommendations to the Government for formulation of a regularization policy for these workers working in the Department since long. He has issued verbal instructions to the Executive Engineers to release their long pending wages at an earliest.
