Jammu, June 19: Since the takeover by the BJP-PDP coalition in the state, both the dismissed political parties, now in opposition viz NC and Congress, apparently issue-less, are trying all means to seize some political space and hence releasing statements that are more scornful rather than consequential.
The provincial president of National Conference, Devender Rana seems to be entrusted by his Kashmir centric masters to become a public 'whistleblower' against the government, particularly against the BJP. He seems to be acting more loyal to king to please his mentor.
Rana is doing his job unflinchingly by digging out NC government's past 'goodies' and trading his guns against the saffronites dubbing them as complete failure, the intelligentsia here is well aware of his valley centric 'intentions' beneath his rhetoric which were wide split open when NC-Cong was on the driver's seat.
Rana is being ably supported by the 'tweet expert', Omar Abdullah who stirs the hornets' nest at the husting as soon as he finds some lacuna which is skillfully translated on ground by Devender Rana by generating a public debate among his people.
While this act, in no way, is against any constitutional norm in a democracy, but the people of Jammu have well understood Rana's machinations which contain loud endorsement of 'His Masters Voice' (HMV) - purely favoring valleyites under the garb of the yell containing manipulative concern of discrimination with Jammu.
There are many examples which frequently have poured in the media with Devender Singh Rana raking up anything against government and trying to gather peoples' sympathy.
In the latest controversy of AIIMS, it is believed that Rana stoked the entire issue to misguide the gullible Jammuities. While he made statement saying that NC party welcomes the sanctioning of AIIMS for Kashmir, it demands similar institutes for Jammu and Ladakh, keeping in view the topography, population, influx of tourists-cum-pilgrims and the floating population during winter months", he said, adding quickly that the party also favours IIM and IIT for the Kashmir Valley.
Devender Rana , who possess to be carrying great concern for Jammu in his last statement after the AIIMS Coordination committee and government reached on a written agreement for AIIMS establishment in Jammu before July 20, said that he welcomes AIIMS for Kashmir and demands the same for Jammu amply shows how smart he is in shaping words to befool people here.

How far Devender Singh Rana's machinations would go on fooling the people here under the dicktat of His Masters Voice (HMV) is being seen as NC's last ditch attempt to make political space in Jammu which might remain as a far-fetched dream for Abdullahs and Co. |
