Jammu, June 19: Two mass base leaders of opposition National Conference namely Ajay Sadhotra and Surjeet Singh Slathia have been conspicuously disappeared from the political activities of the party. Both the leaders are real stalwarts of the party in Jammu province but they have been sidelined by a new group that has "hijacked" the party.
Although the duo has lost assembly elections, yet they are mass leaders of the party. Ajay Sadhotra is real "Chanakya" of National Conference because during bad days it was only Ajay Sadhotra who stood like a rock with the party.
Last week National Conference organised a protest demonstration against failure of the PDP-BJP government but Ajay Sadhotra was conspicuously absent during the protest. Many eye-brows were raised over absent of Ajay Sadhotra during the protest because he is the real face of National Conference in Jammu province due to his long association with the party.
Not only Ajay Sadhotra has long association with National Conference but the party is also known in Jammu due to Sadhotra.
Credible sources in the National Conference said that party stalwart Ajay Sadhotra is feeling suffocated in the party because new groups, that has hijacked the party, was not giving due respect, what Ajay Sadhotra deserve.
There is fear among this group that Ajay Sadhotra is known for his organisational skill and his direct rapport with grass level workers in the whole Jammu province would be exposed them. Instead of utilizing Sadhotra's experience and services, the new group in National Conference is working overtime to ensure that he should be further isolated in the party. |
