World Youth Skill Day celebrated in Jammu province | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, July 15: As a part of World Youth Skills Day celebration, different ITIs of Jammu province organized functions and deliberated upon the different schemes and programme of ITI. It is to mention that there is 26 ITI centres in Jammu province. The functions were held under the guidance of Hon'ble Minister of Technical Education, Youth Services & Sports Mohd. Raza Ansari, Secretary Technical Education, Youth Services & Sports Hirdesh Kumar and director Technical Education Showkat Ahmed Zargar. The function was coordinated by Deputy Director Technical Education, Jammu Er Rajendra Gupta. Under the celebration of Youth Skill Day, various ITI Centres vowed to develop, upgrade and diversify Industrial Training Courses in a big way, to meet out the present day requirements of day today life. "There is a dire need to maintain respect and dignity of skilled persons in the civil society and all the stakeholders should do their bit in this regard", it maintained during programmes. ITIs also gave a brief about different schemes and programmes of Industrial training Institutions and Central Govt's Skill India Mission which was launched here today. It is to mention that the department has started divisional level competition tests among ITI student to inculcate a sense of competition among them. On the occasion, Principals of ITIs spoke on the occasion and gave their suggestions for further improving the skill development programme in the state. Later, the students who excelled in different trades were given away cash prizes and certificates as a mark of felicitation. Certificates were also given to participant students. Besides, Best Teachers and students also announced and felicitated. |
