Anjuman-e-Imamia hosts ‘Iftaar Party’ | | | Early Times Report Jammu, July 15: Anjuman-e-Imamia Jammu today hosted an iftaar party at their head office Karbala Complex Wazarat Road in which members from different walks of society irrespective to religion, caste and creed participated. Prominent present on this occasion were Pawan Kotwal (IAS) Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Danesh Rana IGP Jammu, Ashkoor Wani DIG, Saujnaya Sharma Commissioner Jammu Municipal Corporation, Thakur Randhir Singh Ex-Minister, Sheikh Abdul Rehman Ex-MP, Aslam Qureshi (Retd) Deputy Commissioner, Khalid Hussain (Retd) Deputy Commissioner, Rajesh Gupta MLC, Imam Jamia Masjid Talab Khatikan, Sohail Kazmi and others. The occasion was held with an objective to strengthen the bond within the social set up and to send a message of communal harmony and brotherhood among the society. Speaking on the occasion president Anjuman-e-Imamia Syed Amanat Shah briefed about the religious significance of holy month of Ramadan-a month of purity. He also added that this iftaar party is 'an initiative to maintain the brotherhood among the society. He thanked United Sikh Muslim Front and other organizations who collaborated in hosted hosting such a grand occasion. Earlier at the onset Prof Sujad Khan Secretary Anjuman-e-Imamia Jammu presented welcome address to the special invitees on behalf of Shia community while Syed Afaq Kazmi presented vote of thanks to gathering. Speakers also thanked to all the print and electronic media for providing due support. |
