Early Times Report

Jammu, July 15: The Executive Committee POJK Refugee Front has resolved to continue agitation against administration for creating hindrance in the process of implementation of the Financial Package Sanctioned by the Union Government of India in August 2000. According to press release, the executive committee POJK Refugee Front headed by its President Rachhpal Singh Chib today warned administration, if their demands are not met. "The Union Government of India had directed the State Government of Jammu and Kashmir to disburse the Financial Aid/Assistance to the POJK Refugee Families uprooted from the Pakistan Occupied Area-Poonch, Mirpur and Muzafarabad in the wake of Pakistan invasison of J&K backed by the hired Qabailies", Chib said while addressing the masses. He said that the Governments of India had sanctioned a number of Packages for the families uprooted from the ancestral cities, towns, villages leaving thousands of dead, injured family members and movable and immovable property. "But the State Government of Jammu and Kashmir of National Conference and Indian National Congress Constituted the Department of Custodian to protect the properties of evacuees who migrated to Pakistan and POK", he said, adding that there was a nexus between the Custodian and the political bosses of NC and Congress and they had a hidden Agenda to put hinderance in implementation of the Packages Sanctioned by the Union Govt. "There is a glaring instance of the one of the Financal Packages Sanctioned by the Govt. of India wherein the previous and incumbent custodians with the support of political bosses of the NC and Congress. Crores of rupees were disbursed to those who approached through back door. No mandatory Notification was published through media misusing their official position. The process of implementation of three out of four components was not initiated", Chib said.
